EmpowerHer Community is a tech-based community focused on training and promoting women in the field of information technology. The community aims to create more awareness for opportunities in the Information Technology field and empower as many people as possible in the field

Problem Statement

It is no news that the tech industry is the new ‘oil’ as it seems to be a sector lots of youths are venturing into it. However, the ratio of women in the tech industry is terribly low compared to their male counterparts. There is a great emphasis on girls/women to be empowered and introduced to the tech industry to create a balance. In addition, statistics show that women in tech prove to be more successfull than their male counterparts.

Solutions

Webinars are organised for girls/women to sensitize and introduce them to the tech industry
Free bootcamps are made available to women after they are being introduced to fully educate them in the field they would want
Internship opportunities would be available to students with the best students in order to encourage them to start their career
